Germinating Pseudoroegneria spicata for Neominois ridingsi
Because first instar caterpillars of some subspecies of the ridings' satyr (Neominois ridingsi) will diapause, one method to get them to bypass diapause and initiate feeding immediately is to provide them with seedling larval host grasses. This is a germinating tray of Pseudoroegneria spicata; a natural host of Neominois wyomingo.
