Here is a typical Heber Valley, Wasatch County, Utah wetland habitat. Species that fly exclusively in this habitat include the sonora skipper, Polites sonora utahensis and the silver bordered fritillary, Boloria selene tollandensis. Other butterfly species encountered include the garita skipperling, Oarisima garita garita, the european skipperling, Thymelicus linneola, and the tawny-edged skipper, Polites themistocles.

Otter Creek, Sevier County, Utah Wetlands
Otter Creek crosses UT Hwy 62 and is located roughly 1000 feet WSW from the junction of UT Hwy 24/62. During the middle to latter part of July, one can find a unique mix of wetland butterflies which include colonies of Cercyonis pegala ssp., Lycaena hyllus, Speyeria nokomis apacheana, Speyeria cybele letona, Polites sonora utahensis as well as a few straying Cercyonis meadi meadi from the nearby hills.
